What is cellulite?
"Cellulite" is a word that describes those stubborn, lumpy, dimpled fat deposits that tend to collect on various parts of the body. It is most often seen on the buttocks, upper thighs, inner knees, abdomen, and upper arms, and is different from regular fat in that it is resistant to change from diet and exercise alone.
Where does cellulite come from?
There are many contributing factors to the cause of cellulite including toxins, poor circulation and lymphatic drainage, weight gain, and an unhealthy lifestyle. It is often noticeable in areas of poor muscular development and use, as well as areas that lack good circulation to eliminate toxins and waste materials. As the connective tissues are poorly supplied, they harden, coarsen and rearrange into bundles, which cause cellulite to appear.
How does it work?
This patented technique involves a mechanized device with two motorized rollers and regulated suction. It increases your circulation and stimulates fibroblasts of collagen and connective tissue. Controlling the subcutaneous fatty layer results in a firmer, smoother body with toned skin and the reduction of body measurements.
How does it feel?
You will wear a body stocking as the technician performs the treatment, concentrating on your problem areas: hips, thighs, upper back, arms, and stomach. It is a full body treatment. Each session lasts approximately 30 minutes. It feels soothing, yet invigorating, similar to a massage. Your tension will subside as the rollers lift, stretch, and mobilize the tissues of your skin. This will leave you feeling calm and relaxed.
How often will I receive treatments?
The optimum frequency of treatments is twice a week; a minimum of once per week will also be effective depending on skin condition.
How many treatments are needed?
Number of visits is usually determined in a consultation. Your results will depend on your age and the condition of your skin. Your lifestyle also determines the number of treatments needed to achieve maximum results. Lifestyle factors include diet and water consumption, as well as the frequency and kind of exercise you regularly partake in. On average you can expect anywhere from 8-20 sessions depending on the condition of your skin.
What results can I expect?
One of the first things you will notice is that your clothes fit looser, your legs and hips feel smoother, and you may experience an increased sense of well-being. You will next notice a definite improvement in skin condition, especially in dimpled cellulite areas. Although the LPG cellulite technique is not a weight loss treatment, you will see a change in the contour of cellulite treated areas.
Do I have to follow any diet or exercise guidelines?
It is necessary to drink plenty of water and keep active to maximize your results. You will see results without a healthy diet and exercise, but you will realize the results quicker and keep them longer with proper diet and exercise. Understand that Endermologie will give you something that just diet and exercise has not given.
